Copilot impact dashboard adds chat and VS Code agent usage

The Agent adoption chart in the Copilot impact dashboard now includes Copilot Chat and the VS Code Agents window, so you can see engagement across nine Copilot experiences. The adoption… The post Copilot impact dashboard adds chat and VS Code agent usage appeared first on The GitHub Blog.

Laser Light Cannon - a review

A laser scientist reviews the laser light cannon from the Steven Universe cartoon, including its highly unusual beam shape.

SageMaker Inference now supports Multi-Instance GPU to maximize GPU utilization for model endpoints

Amazon SageMaker Inference now supports GPU partitioning with NVIDIA Multi-Instance GPU (MIG), which divides one GPU into hardware-isolated partitions so you can run a different model in each or take a right-sized fraction of a newer accelerator. This post shows how two optional API fields place one model per partition, and what we measured against a whole older GPU.

Serverless MCP server for AI agent data lake access on Amazon ECS Fargate

Learn how to build a serverless Model Context Protocol (MCP) server on Amazon ECS with AWS Fargate that gives AI agents secure, metadata-driven access to an enterprise data lake. Exposing a new dataset requires only a JSON file, with no per-dataset integration code.

Why a new report on Anthropic automating AI development is alarming researchers

Anthropic is using AI to build more powerful AI. And it appears to be working remarkably well, with the company's models improving roughly twice as quickly as a year ago, with little indication of slowing down. That's according to a new report published Thursday by the AI safety research organization METR, following an 11-week investigation […]

Synthesizing symbolic models of human and machine reasoning at scale

arXiv:2611.07088v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: Symbolic models offer a powerful account of cognition, but their scope has historically been limited by the need for hand-engineering and computational tractability. We show how advances in artificial intelligence (AI) can scale symbolic modeling and help overcome these engineering limitations. We introduce Behavior-Conditioned Symbolic Synthesis (BCSS)---an approach for automated search of interpretable, deterministic symbolic programs that verifiably reproduce behavior---and apply it to model both human and machine behavior across hundreds of challenging reasoning problems. Analyzing these programs reveals that both people and machines tend to oversimplify, adopt rules that are partial explanations for their observations, and misinfer dependencies between problem features. These shared signatures are modulated by available resources, with reasoning effort predicting the extent to which machines simplify and explain their observations. Together, these results point to underlying mechanisms reminiscent of satisficing in both people and machines, and illustrate how BCSS offers a general approach for interpreting and comparing rule-based reasoning of humans and black-box AI systems.

Usage metrics API adds code review details and addressed rate

The enterprise and organization repository-level Copilot usage metrics reports now show what happens to Copilot code review feedback. A new copilot_code_review object on each repos-1-day row reports how many Copilot-reviewed… The post Usage metrics API adds code review details and addressed rate appeared first on The GitHub Blog.

Usage metrics API flags telemetry and version gaps

The Copilot usage metrics API now shows which users are missing client telemetry or are running IDE or extension versions below the usage metrics minimums. New per-user fields appear in… The post Usage metrics API flags telemetry and version gaps appeared first on The GitHub Blog.

Customers are pulling data back into the Oracle database as agents demand real-time access

A shared semantic layer is fast becoming the dividing line between lakehouses built for reporting and those built for artificial intelligence. As AI agents join human analysts in querying corporate data, enterprises need platforms that make sense of information scattered across clouds, formats and rival systems. Oracle Corp. has spent the past year rebuilding its […] The post Customers are pulling data back into the Oracle database as agents demand real-time access appeared first on SiliconANGLE.

How Indegene is modernizing and scaling enterprise data quality in life sciences

This post explores how Indegene built a production-grade, LLM-powered Data Quality Agent in its NEXT Unified Data Platform on AWS. The agent generates context-aware data quality rules, validates them, and produces ready-to-run SQL and Python under human-in-the-loop governance, helping life sciences organizations scale enterprise data quality.
