SageMaker Inference now supports Multi-Instance GPU to maximize GPU utilization for model endpoints

Amazon SageMaker Inference now supports GPU partitioning with NVIDIA Multi-Instance GPU (MIG), which divides one GPU into hardware-isolated partitions so you can run a different model in each or take a right-sized fraction of a newer accelerator. This post shows how two optional API fields place one model per partition, and what we measured against a whole older GPU.

Show HN: Combining Bursts of Images

An approach of taking many photos to enhance one final image is a technique called "stacking". Stacking alone doesn't account for everything so this is a take that helps get better alignment of images, allows comparisons, and drop bad images that dont match. Its not super resolution but it feels like when you look at it. it reduces the noise and makes it look more organic shot with less expensive hardware. enjoy! Assurance-Conditioned Continuous Authorization for Autonomous AI Agents

arXiv:2611.05632v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: Autonomous software agents can act through tools, delegate work, and change their models or execution environments while earlier authorizations remain in flight. We present Assurance-Conditioned Continuous Authorization (ACCA), an approach designed to be harness-independent, for maintaining operational authority according to currently justified assurance. It distinguishes evidence validity from contextual applicability, derives assurance claims from eligible evidence, and resolves a multidimensional effective-authority envelope within a principal-declared ceiling and applicable policy. A typed dependency graph supports selective re-evaluation of authorization-relevant changes. An authority epoch changes when effective authority changes; a distinct optional authorization-basis version supports revalidation of action-specific authorization conditions. Protected effect-time enforcement can reject stale actions before a consequential resource change, subject to the available commit mechanism. A compositional Domain Governance Profile expresses domain-specific semantics without granting authority. Controlled scenario tests implemented as a regression suite using a trading profile exercise default-deny rules, evidence-conditioned contraction and recovery, policy divergence, selective non-response, and stale-action rejection at a local gateway before the simulated-broker boundary. The study establishes implementation-level evidence in one domain, not a cross-domain guarantee of harmful-behavior prevention.

From Activation to Intervention: Interpreting Sparse Visual Features through Reconstruction

arXiv:2611.05522v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: Sparse autoencoders (SAEs) decompose visual representations into individual features, offering a promising basis for explaining model behavior. Interpreting these features typically relies on images or pixel regions that most strongly activate them. However, this evidence becomes ambiguous when multiple features with different semantics frequently activate in the same locations, such as texture and color in the same patterns. We propose Reconstructive SAE Intervention (RecSAEI), a framework that shifts feature explanation from passive observation to active visual reconstruction. By intervening on representations along SAE decoder directions and reconstructing the visual output, we provide direct evidence of a feature's semantic meaning. We demonstrate that our method successfully disambiguates feature meanings across multiple datasets and vision encoders. Furthermore, our framework grounds [CLS] SAE interventions in a sparse set of patch SAE decoder directions. Beyond stable target response, this attribution also exposes the compositional relationship between elementary visual patterns and high-level semantics. Our results advocate for intervention reconstruction as an essential complementary signal for explaining neural networks.

Release: v5.21.0

# Release v5.21.0 ## New Model additions ### MiniCPM-OCR MiniCPM-OCR is a document-understanding model from OpenBMB's MiniCPM-V family. It keeps the MiniCPM-V 4.6 architecture, which pairs a SigLIP vision encoder and a window-attention merger with a Qwen3.5 language model. It is specialized for reading text-dense images such as scanned pages, screenshots, receipts and tables. **Links:** [Documentation](https://huggingface.co/docs/transformers/main/en/model_doc/minicpm_ocr) | [Paper](https://huggingface.co/papers/2509.18154) * Feat test (#49920) by @guarin in [#49920](https://github.com/huggingface/transformers/pull/49920) ### Flint Flint is Recursive's mixture-of-experts language model. Qwen2.5-1M: Deploy Your Own Qwen with Context Length up to 1M Tokens

Tech Report HuggingFace ModelScope Qwen Chat HuggingFace Demo ModelScope Demo DISCORD Introduction Two months after upgrading Qwen2.5-Turbo to support context length up to one million tokens, we are back with the open-source Qwen2.5-1M models and the corresponding inference framework support. Here’s what you can expect from this release: Opensource Models: We’re releasing two new checkpoints, Qwen2.5-7B-Instruct-1M and Qwen2.5-14B-Instruct-1M, marking the first time we’ve upgraded our opensource Qwen models to handle 1M-token contexts.

OFA: Towards Building a One-For-All Model

2022 is a year of generalist models! With the bloom of multimodal pretraining, especially the unified model, we have witnessed the opportunity to building a generalist model that is capable of processing tasks of different modalities or multi-modalities! Thus, we propose OFA1, namely One-For-All, a unified multimodal pretrained model that unifies understanding and generation tasks concerning modalities into a single framework, and we pretrain OFA with the instruction-based multitask-pretraining that endows it with multiple capabilities.
