Frankly Speaking: The Company Election Integrity Keeps in Congressional Communication

arXiv:2610.36187v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: Election integrity is a shared commitment in American politics, but Democrats and Republicans in Congress increasingly mean different things by it. Analyzing 10,420 congressional e-newsletters sent from 2010 to 2025, we examine how the two parties invoke election terms such as ``integrity,'' ``security,'' and ``fraud.'' Using diachronic word embeddings, which track semantic change through how words are used in context, we measure how differently each party uses each term, how much each party shifts, and whether they share nearest semantic neighbors. We show that members of Congress do not need different words to tell different stories about elections. They need only place those same words in different company. Across nearly every term and yea

KORA: Deterministic-First Execution Control for AI Workloads

arXiv:2610.35869v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: AI applications often invoke a model before they determine whether inference is necessary. That default is useful for ambiguous generative tasks, but it is poorly matched to work that is structured, deterministic, policy-bound, lookup-oriented, or directly verifiable. KORA introduces deterministic-first execution control: a pre-inference control layer that represents requests as task paths, attempts deterministic or structured routes first, validates route outcomes, records telemetry, and escalates to a model-candidate path only when deterministic handling is insufficient. This paper presents KORA as a deterministic-first execution-control architecture and reports bounded evidence from reproducible benchmark and validation workloads. In a rep

SAP advances its autonomous enterprise push with smarter, governed Joule agents

SAP SE today announced a set of artificial intelligence innovations at its annual TechEd conference for developers, enhancing its Joule assistant solutions and Business AI Platform, including tabular data foundation models. New capabilities in Joule Work will help AI agents become more efficient and interoperate with open protocols. In this case, the Model Context Protocol […] The post SAP advances its autonomous enterprise push with smarter, governed Joule agents appeared first on SiliconANGLE.

LeafSkill: Efficient Leaf-Level Action Grounding for Recursive LLM Agents

arXiv:2610.32412v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: Recursive large language model (LLM) agents solve long-horizon tasks through decomposition, execution, and environmental feedback. Yet after producing an atomic subtask, they often invoke the same large model again to translate a familiar instruction into an executable action. We observe that high-level planning is task-specific, whereas leaf-level action grounding recurs across tasks and can be checked against environment-admitted actions. We introduce LeafSkill, an external reuse layer that retrieves semantically related grounding experience, binds action templates to current objects and admissible actions, and uses a lightweight 1.7B selector to choose a bound action or defer the unchanged subtask to the original agent. DualPace: Decoupled Scheduling and Cooperative GPU--CPU Decoding for LLM Serving

arXiv:2610.33501v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: Large language model (LLM) serving relies on batching to improve inference throughput, but the key-value (KV) cache grows with sequence length and limits GPU-resident concurrency. CPU offloading can expand KV capacity using host memory, yet existing systems remain largely GPU-gated: CPU-resident requests make progress only when the GPU scheduler exposes suitable overlap opportunities. As a result, host memory and CPU compute cannot act as an independent serving resource, leading to bursty CPU-side progress and inflated tail inter-token latency (ITL) under load. We present DualPace, an LLM serving runtime that turns the host into an independently scheduled decode engine. DualPace separates scheduling authority across two engines: the GPU engin

AWS Bedrock has launched cross-region inference in the Canada region, supporting calls to the nominal GPT-5.6/GPT-6/GPT-6.1 models.

Amazon Web Services announced that Canadian customers can, via Amazon Bedrock, invoke models branded as OpenAI GPT-5.6, GPT-6, and GPT-6.1 in the ca-central-1 (Canada Central) and ca-west-1 (Canada West/Calgary) regions using cross-region inference (CRIS); the actual inference takes place in North American or global AWS commercial regions, while data remains at rest in the Canadian source region.
