Model overview
We present DistilCamemBERT-NER, which is DistilCamemBERT fine-tuned for the NER (Named Entity Recognition) task for the French language. The work is inspired by Jean-Baptiste/camembert-ner based on the CamemBERT model. The problem of the modelizations based on CamemBERT is at the scaling moment, for the production phase, for example. Indeed, inference cost can be a technological issue. To counteract this effect, we propose this modelization which **divides the inference time by two** with the same consumption power thanks to DistilCamemBERT. This model performance is compared to 2 reference models (see below) with the metric f1 score. For the mean inference time measure, an AMD Ryzen 5 4500U @ 2.3GHz with 6 cores was used:
Key features

Limitations & considerations
Sources are insufficient to establish specific limitations. Verify task performance, latency, data policies, licensing and version lifecycle.
Source prices & cost analysis
Prices vary by channel, region and configuration. Channel quotes are listed independently and are not treated as a single official provider price.

Estimate monthly base token costs
Estimates exclude cache discounts, tiered pricing, multimodal surcharges, web search, taxes and additional reasoning output.
Public benchmarks & run configuration

Do open weights permit free commercial use?
Not necessarily. Check the version license, commercial conditions and usage policies. Self-hosting incurs compute and maintenance costs.
Are these real-time billing prices?
These are timestamped source snapshots, not live billing prices. Check the channel for current versions, regions, discounts and billing methods.
